04 — Philanthropy

The part that matters most.

I believe creativity means more when it gives something back. Advocacy and kindness guide my work because what we make should help people feel seen and remind them that they matter.

Born This Way Foundation

2023-25 Advisory Board & Digital Marketing

Joseph attended his first Lady Gaga concert in 2011. More than a decade later, that early connection came full circle when he joined Born This Way Foundation’s Advisory Board in 2023. During his two years on the Board, he brought his experience as a creator and advocate into conversations about youth mental health, kindness, and community.

In 2025, Joseph moved from advisory service into a digital marketing internship. The new role allowed him to support the Foundation from another side of the work, combining his understanding of online communities with a commitment to making advocacy feel accessible, relevant, and human.

What began as inspiration when I was young became an opportunity to serve a community I deeply believe in.

Channel Kindness

Published Contributor & Featured Advocate

Through Channel Kindness, Joseph turned advocacy into a published body of work. Across eight articles, he moved between personal essays, practical mental health guidance, and interviews that elevated fellow young advocates. His stories documented a 21 day kindness challenge, explored confidence and academic stress, and reflected on the power young people have to create change.

Channel Kindness also featured Joseph in “Meet The Latinx Mental Health Activist Spreading Kindness.” The interview explored his journey from creator to advocate, his experience building an online community, and the personal connection that led him to Born This Way Foundation’s Advisory Board.

Don’t worry about what other people might think, because honestly, who cares?

Soulfully Foundation

Youth Mental Health Access & Community Care

Joseph founded Soulfully Foundation to move beyond talking about mental health access and begin building it. As a nonprofit organization, Soulfully creates culturally grounded programs for young people who have historically been overlooked or priced out of care.

The Foundation is developing practical paths to support at every level. The PATH Scholarship funds two to three months of therapy for young people facing financial barriers. Language Lifeline makes mental health resources available across languages, while Care Canisters and community wellness programs bring tangible support, connection, and kindness directly to the people who need it.

For Joseph, Soulfully is where creativity, advocacy, and service come together. It represents a long term commitment to building the resources, partnerships, and communities that can help young people feel seen before they ever have to ask for help.

Soulfully's vision resonates deeply with me. As a founder, I admire their ability to take a bold idea of making mental wellness more accessible and bring it to life with such passion. Their programs prove that kindness and care are not abstract values, but actions that ripple out into communities. I'm grateful to support their mission.
